“What happens when your mind fights your flesh? How do you cope when the world is against you? Do you ever feel like shouting when in a crowded room but you feel so alone? Or simply ask yourself, “How did I get here?”
Many times in our lives those answers may be closer than we think. We may be afraid to admit it but it could be quite simple: we are here because of our decisions, our actions and our wants.
Many people will tell you “make the right decision and then life will be easy. Well what happens if the decisions we make seem right to us and life is still not easy?
This blog is to help women. Whether we are young or old, black or white, married or single, a mom or not yet a mom, together we can learn to relate, release, and redefine our thoughts and views about ourselves.
I’ll start with myself. My name is Jai and I am 35 years old. And honey, I still haven’t gotten a grasp on this thing called life.
Truthfully speaking, does any one ever really get it right?
I’m writing this blog to heal myself as well as anyone who may read this. This will be our safe place. A place where we can join a community of strong, independent women who will uplift, share, strengthen, encourage and empower one another.
I’ve learned that the biggest mistake we women often make including myself is having that “superhero complex”. You know, where we always say “I got It”. I’m good”. Hesitant to show any signs of your kryptonite. Sometimes we ladies carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and we find ourselves asking will this burden ever be lifted? Will anyone ever ask if I’m okay?
Well I’m here to ask. Are you okay? Do you need help? I will do my best to be as supportive, nurturing, transparent, as I can be with my new family. All I ask of you in return is that you do the same and meet me in your broken places.
